EVENT INFORMATION:Preserving their Memory and Finding Myself is a presentation of personal narratives about a Vietnam Veteran. Author Tad Pritchett shows slides and pictures of the experiences of Kansans during the Second World War, the Cold War and the War in Vietnam. Tad Pritchett is a Vietnam veteran, who compares the homecoming of World War II soldiers to his own uneasy return home following a combat tour during the Vietnam War. Pritchett has authored a book titled; From Farm to Field- which tells the experience of Kansans who fought in the Battle of the Bulge. In the telling of the story of these World War II veterans Pritchett learns of the brotherhood shared only by those who fought for our nation. Of special interest would be the narratives of young Kansans who were sent from Kansas towns and cities to fight in far away places. These men now in their 80's tell of how the events in their youth helped shaped not just their own lives but the future of the free world. For further information contact Dave Coleman, 785-580-4651.
